When the lights fade out,
And the city slowly crawls
Into the deep land of slumber,
When darkness engulfs homes,
Lights flicker in the alleys,
And Nature stands still,
When an eerie silence creeps in,
Transports you to another place,
Of dreams and nightmares, frightening,
Somewhere, in a corner,
A little world wakes up,
Greets its visitors warmly,
Leads them into temptation,
And he walks in there,
Bold but afraid.
Into a world of blinding lights,
And deafening noise,
Into a world of promises unkempt,
Into a world where wrongs were right.
And all she did was let him go,
Stare at him and think,
I wish life was a fantasy,
Filled with fear and ecstasy!
